Recently, Pennotec’s Dr Jonathan Hughes and Lydia Dawson Jones BEng were able to promote our new innovation to solve the problem of water pollution ‘Trap Algae’ on the BBC Radio Cymru morning show with Aled Hughes. After a visit to Pennotec’s lab, Aled visited a local holiday venue where the Trap Algae device had been used to clear ponds and lakes of algae. The property owner William Huw Roberts, explained how the clearing of his ponds meant that he would be able to restock them with trout, knowing that the risk of algae killing the fish had now been removed.
